Here Prescription Footwear Associates our clinicians work closely with each client to design and create custom footwear that is tailored to their unique fitting requirements and functional demands.
The footwear designed will provide a degree of support and/or correction, containment and is fully tailored for people that can not be accommodated in stock or semi-bespoke footwear. In addition, we can also carry out adaptations.

Traditional shoemaking meets modern technology
Our in-house shoe maker still uses traditional footwear manufacturing methods - either from profiles and measures or a plaster cast - to make a custom last, and then the desired footwear.
Yet technology and production does not stand still. We also use 3D scanning technology in the capturing of the foot and leg dimensions. The scanning procedure is quick and easy, with non of the mess that comes with plaster. It also provides a highly acculturate representation of the foot. The scanning process also allows us to work with other specialist footwear manufacturers, resulting in even greater choice when it comes to style and finish.
