Wound Care
Long-standing and difficult-to-heal wounds are our speciality; i.e. leg ulcers that fail to respond to conventional treatment. We have a policy of constantly upgrading our treatment practise as new approved techniques become available.
A preventative approach to tissue viability problems is followed, but if necessary, cleaning wounds and debridement, including larvae dressings, can be offered.
We use a pressure-relieving method that appears to speed up healing in most cases.
Soft Cast Bracing
This is an off-loading device to take pressure away from wounds, to speed up the natural healing process. This works for diabetic, neuropathic ulcers and has been successfully used on other long-standing leg ulcers.
