Podiatry is a field of health care focused on the study of foot pathology from a structural and functional perspective aimed at diagnosing and treating lower limb and foot disorders/conditions.
Conditions dealt with include:
- Nail deformities: infected nails, in-growing nails/nail surgery, overgrown gryphotic nails.
- Skin conditions: hard skin - corn and callus reduction, verrucae therapy, cracked heels
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Heel spurs
- Metatarsalgia
- Shin splints
- Wound/Ulcer care
- Orthotic and footwear treatment/advice
- General foot care advice
- Diabetic and Rheumatic foot assessments
The Podiatry service enhances the range of lower limb and foot care treatments available. Our State Registered Podiatrist is happy to see clients at the clinic but can also make domiciliary visits by special arrangement.
